Miten Jain: Research Scientist

For my fellowship year, I worked with Professor Nader Pourmand on advancing his nanopipette work during the Fall quarter, followed by Professor Mark Akeson in the Winter quarter on understanding single-channel nanopore technology, and Professor David Haussler in the Spring quarter on assessing kmer-based haplogrouping of centromeric arrays. My work with both Professor Pourmand and Professor Haussler resulted in peer-reviewed publications. Additionally, I was involved in Nanopore sequencing research and development and its application to genomics and transcriptomics, and am currently applying to tenure-track faculty positions and would like to start my own research group in 2021.
